Les Berceaux

Gabriel Fauré’s hauntingly beautiful Les Berceaux receives a new expressive voice in this arrangement for solo trumpet and piano. Originally composed as a mélodie for voice and piano, Fauré’s elegant, gently rocking accompaniment and deeply lyrical melody translate naturally to the trumpet, allowing the instrument’s warm, singing character to bring new color and intimacy to the work. Ideal for recitals, concerts, and ceremonial performances, this arrangement offers advanced trumpet players an opportunity to explore Fauré’s refined French Romantic style while showcasing the expressive and vocal qualities of the trumpet.
