Bring the musical heritage of Oaxaca, Mexico, to your ensemble with Golondrinas Oaxaqueñas (The Swallows of Oaxaca). This Grade 2 concert band arrangement introduces young musicians to an old popular song from Oaxaca while encouraging expressive, thoughtful playing.
Carefully detailed dynamics, articulation, and phrasing provide meaningful challenges for developing players. Across its approximately 4:30 duration, the arrangement invites your band to shape musical phrases and bring the song to life beyond the notes on the page.
