Five Mystical Songs, Movement 4 is a landmark arrangement for baritone solo, SATB choir, and wind ensemble, drawn from Ralph Vaughan Williams' beloved song cycle setting the mystical poetry of George Herbert. This movement — one of the most expressive and spiritually resonant in the cycle — is given new life in this wind ensemble setting, preserving the soaring vocal lines and rich harmonic language that have made the original a cornerstone of the choral repertoire.

Commissioned by the Oklahoma State University Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Joseph P.
